The Chocolate & Wine Tasting Experience class pairs four premium Wisconsin chocolates and four local Wisconsin wines. This 1.5 hours course is just the thing to give you an in depth understanding of how to truly taste chocolate and wine to best enhance your flavor experience.

Guided by winemaker and sommelier Rob Lewis, you will learn how German immigrants helped shape Missouri’s wine industry, examine the region’s distinctive growing conditions, and discover the grape varieties and winemaking traditions that continue to define Augusta today. Through guided tastings and discussion, you will gain a deeper appreciation for this historic wine region and its important role in the development of American viticulture.

Travel back through centuries of winemaking tradition as you explore some of the world’s most ancient and historically significant grape varietals. In this immersive wine class, you will taste and discover wines whose origins trace back thousands of years—varietals that helped shape the foundation of modern winemaking. You’ll learn about the history, regions, and characteristics that make these wines an important part of wine culture today.

This five week course with commercial winemaker Rob Lewis of Lewis Station Winery and Stable Rock Winery will cover the full winemaking process from fermentation to bottling. Learn techniques to start or improve your own home winemaking while creating your own wine during class in small teams. You will hone your wine evaluation skills with topics on sensory evaluation, wine making knowledge and learning some of the secrets to food and wine pairing. Students will get to take wine home to enjoy.

Learn to evaluate and appreciate wine. Black glass is used so the taster doesn't know if it’s a white, rose’ or red wine. You get to learn the science of taste using a guide to evaluate the wine and then everyone guesses and the wine is revealed at the end of the class.

Join us for a virtual trip to France through the world of French wine. You will try white and red wine from Bordeaux, find what Burgundy wines are all about and some other wine areas that are less famous but also delicious.. The class promises to be both fun and educational as you learn about what goes into making a bottle of wine and why the French are often considered masters of this craft. Class discussions will be lively and entertaining.

If you have ever been curious as to whether that expensive bottle of bubbly is truly worth it, now you can find out! In this class, members will sample French Champagne along with other sparkling white wines such as Italian Prosecco and Spanish Cava at different price points. There will definitely be some lively discussions amongst your fellow classmates. Join us for a wine exploration that just might change your mind about cost versus quality when it comes to your wine budget. Some wine tasting experience would be beneficial but not mandatory.
