In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the essential techniques for crafting flaky, golden crusts and rich, flavorful fillings. From mixing to rolling to perfecting your bake, you’ll practice every step with expert guidance. You’ll head home with a warm, seasonal pie—and an even warmer heart.
It may seem daunting to make pies from scratch for Thanksgiving with all the other cooking to do, but there are many tips and tricks to have a beautiful and tasty pie. Each participant will make a special apple pie, and while it bakes, we will make homemade pie crust that can rest in your fridge or freezer. A cookbook with variations of apple pie and other fall favorites will let you try your new skills at home.
